Looking religious versus becoming religious

We should not go back to the times when different religions were established and we should not try to dig out the truth for what purpose the religions had been established. But one thing is very much clear that great people established religions just to give guidance to the man so that he could understand the real meaning of his life, the purpose of his coming on this earth and the religions established codes of conducts for the man. For centuries the great people had been preparing these code of conducts which are known at this stage religious books.

Now a question arises as to whether the man on this earth could adopt those codes of conduct or the man is still standing on the place where he was standing prior to the establishment of these religions. And if we go deep, we shall find this man standing at the place where he was standing prior to the establishment of religions. all these religious books are guides for him, but this man on this earth is just reciting these books and at no stage he is committing himself for the adoption of principles laid down in these books.

If we conduct a survey, people in all the religions are standing on the same place and if we try to find out the people who are committing sins, crimes and misconducts, we shall find that no person could separate himself from the main stream. If we declare on oath and that oath could be true, we shall have to declare that everyone of us has committed so many crimes, so many sins and so many misconducts. None is clean and even those who are trying to show that they are totally religious people, they too are actually standing on the same footing where common people in that religion are standing. If some people could conceal their omissions and commissions, it does not mean that they are religious people.

And today, the whole world has been divided on the basis of religions and every group is trying to establish a distinguished category and for that purpose they are prescribing different ways of meeting each other, they speak different language, they have got different religious places, they have got different religious books, they are establishing different methods of prayers and they are having different styles of living day to day life. Even they have got their own list of eatables. They have allowed their religions to enter in politics and now they have got religious political parties and they are demanding share in administration as per their numbers in the country.

So religions have already divided the people and some countries have been established on the basis of religions and they are trying to administer the country as per laws laid down in the religious books.

Since all the people are not in a position to become religious persons, some people have come forward and they are now controlling the people in those religions. They have got a different style of living and they are telling the people that they are totally religious people and therefore, the people in that religion must obey them and follow them. But we have heard through news papers and other sources of media that these people who are turning totally religious too are committing the same crimes, sins and misconducts. Therefore, we cannot say that the people who look religious are actually religious people and people who do not look religious are not religious people. The people who are looking religious have adopted this lifestyle only to come in the line taking this as a profession, trade, calling and employment and they are collecting money for their livelihood and nothing more. In fact there is no one who is religious and all are committing crimes, sins and misconducts and no religion on earth could set the man right, though much has been said in religious books and this man is just reciting those items time and again.
